At home and unable to roast coffee for the time being, I have gone quite crazy trying to perfect brewing. Today my big deal was the Moka Pot. Quite the clever little invention really. I am following a Stumptown technique of letting the water heat in the water chamber, separate from the ground coffee and upper chamber. As soon as the water begins to become active I put the coffee and upper chamber on without burning my little hands. I back off a bit on heat and let the magic happen. As soon as what Stumptown calls the "puff" is evident I remove the unit from the heat and let it sit only a brief moment. After that it goes in my cup and in my belly. The americanos were sure happening today at the house... Just wait till the shop opens- My blog will only become more lengthy with the coffee discoveries I find out. later, dave
